Leave year meaning 

A leave year is when employees receive the Paid leave quota. Generally, a leave year is twelve months long and coincides with an employee’s anniversary hire date. Employees are generally granted a certain number of days or hours of paid leave during their leave year. accrued vacation days or hours 

For example, if an employee begins working for a company on January 1st, their Leave Year will begin on that date and end on December 31st of the same year. The employee would then be eligible to use any accrued vacation days or hours during the subsequent 12-month period beginning January 1st and ending December 31st.
