Maximum Probation Period in UAE<\/b><\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-998f0b6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"998f0b6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>According to the Article 9 (1) of UAE labor law\u00a0regarding employment relationship:<\/p><p>The organizations in UAE can set a maximum probation period of 6 months.<\/p><p>If a company extends an employee\u2019s probation period beyond six months, it will commit an unlawful employment practice and might have to pay compensation to the employee.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-277e6a69 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"277e6a69\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"><b>2. Contract Termination<\/b><\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b056954 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b056954\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Termination\u00a0during\u00a0probation period\u00a0falls under Article 9 (1) of the UAE Labour Law. The employer has the right to terminate the employment contract in UAE after notifying the employee in writing at least 14 days before the specified date of the termination.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>If an employee goes for termination during probation period UAE without prior notice or information, the employer must compensate them with an amount equal to their wages.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-335a1d17 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"335a1d17\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"><b>3. Employee\u2019s right to resign and move to other company within state<\/b><\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6cb80b73 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6cb80b73\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>According to Article 9 (3) of the UAE Labor Law, if an employee is working with another employer during the probation period UAE, they must notify their current employer.<\/p><p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align);\">If the employee does so the new company has to pay compensation to the existing employee by bearing the cost of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zimyo.com\/middle-east\/recruitment-management-software\/\">recruitment.<\/a><\/span><\/p><p>If a foreign worker wishes to resignation during probation period in UAE, he will have to inform the employer 14 days prior.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-505e924f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"505e924f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"><b>4. No Sick Leave Employment<\/b><\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4870ea5b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4870ea5b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>According to Article 31 (2) of UAE Labor Law, the employee can&#8217;t take\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zimyo.com\/middle-east\/insights\/sick-leave-uae\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sick leave<\/a>\u00a0during probation period in any organization.
